Hi everyone!

I came across Ray Charles on a TikTok video and asked how I could help this baby, well this comment received a lot of attention (very unexpected, but grateful) after hundreds of comments people asked me to start a gofundme, so here we are. His owner passed away a week ago, and was brought to the shelter. He’s a senior boy who is blind. stressed and confused. This stuck with me for days.- which led me to make the comment to begin with. The shelter has approved me to get him and the contract is signed, I am honored!! This truly felt like a calling. But here’s the thing, I live in North Carolina and he's located in Benton, Arkansas. We tried to set up to meet halfway, but couldn't. So, I've got to make the whole drive. 12 hours one way. I'm just asking for help with gas and his preventative meds, so we can work on getting him acclimated and thriving again. Anything extra will be allocated for his needs. Anything helps and the outpouring of support has been beautiful. We leave Friday night and get to pick him up Saturday and will head home. Just send some good thoughts for the journey there and back.

adding this to say that we do plan to get him a “I’m blind” harness for his safety and nice bed for him. If we can get basics covered anything extra will be for dog food, or supplements.
