Bring Rafael Serrano Romero Home to Rest

Update 12/16: Total cost of funeral preparations, including all necessary services in the U.S. and transportation to the family in Mexico has come to $14,000. The family will then need to pay the necessary burial fees in Mexico. We do not want them to have to deal with this financial burden, on top of their grief.

Rafael Serrano Romero (58) of Mexico passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 13 of a heart attack while working in Manitowoc County. He is survived by his wife Aurora Juarez, sons Antonio and Jorge, and daughter Karen of San Juan Cuauhtémoc, Puebla, Mexico.

Efforts to raise money for the family are being coordinated by Salvador Velazquez and Rafael's friends in Manitowoc.

His body is currently at Pfeffer Funeral Home while we await autopsy and paperwork for transportation. We are asking for donations to help return Rafael's body to his wife and family in Mexico for burial.

His family and friends appreciate any help you have to offer.
