Hi my name is Nicola and I know a dog in Thailand, her name is PONYO!
In 2021, during COVID, I rescued Ponyo in Thailand. She was a homeless dog living in a local village, surviving on scraps and reacting aggressively because she had never known real safety or care.
I gave her patience, freedom, and love, and over six months she transformed into the most loyal, affectionate dog. We became inseparable and did everything together like driving round the island, going island hopping vacations wherever i went Ponyo was 3 steps away!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to leave Thailand before I could bring her with me, I had built a life there, opening a thriving new restaurant, great friends and community and my best friend - PONYO.
Ponyo is now being cared for by someone else, but she would be best suited with me, and I know I am her person. She is timid around others, she doesnt get on well with the dogs she currently lives with, they bully her and fight her. She is getting older and if she is with me I can now provide her a safe comfortable home to spend her last years in.
She is now around eight or nine years old, and the process of bringing her to me could take about a year. That means time is running out to get her home safely before she becomes too old for long-distance travel. I am funding as much as I can myself, but I cannot do it alone.
This is not about convenience. It is about time, age, and giving her the safest chance possible.
I am raising money for her vet care, vaccinations, paperwork, travel preparation, and transport so we can finally be reunited.
Ponyo is family to me, and I just want to bring her home before it’s too late.
