My name is Kaischa, and my now 6-month-old English Setter puppy, Pippi, has been missing since October 13th in the remote woods near Doctors Club Rd and M-65 in northeast Michigan. Despite social media blitzes, search-and-rescue consultations and teams, thermal drones, flyers, and door-to-door/personal pleas for help, there have been no sightings. That means she is likely surviving in "ghost mode" - quietly, scared, and unseen in the vast wilderness.

This has been an unbearably heavy year for my family and I, marked by multiple profound losses. Pippi was a bright spot of healing for me, for my nieces, and a pop of joy for my students. I am a teacher, and my kids ask about her regularly. I'm not giving up on her.

The most effective way to find a lost dog in vast, remote wooded areas is through cellular trail cameras that instantly send photos when something passes by. This is particularly helpful because Pippi's survival instincts tell her to move nocturnally to stay undetected by humans. To cover the search area properly, I need to purchase more SkyPoint trail cameras. Each twin-pack currently costs $116. Every additional camera increases the chance of finally getting a sighting and bringing Pippi home safely. These will be strategically placed along trails enroute to feeding, shelter, and water resources.
