Phil Nelson was a son, brother, father, friend, and teammate. Tragically, we lost Phil on September 16, 2022, during a visit to California. He was doing what he loved, playing basketball when he collapsed on the court. His family and friends are grieving this sudden loss at this time. Unfortunately, a loss like this comes with significant expenses, and we are now asking for your help. Costs like funeral home fees, transportation, a celebration of life service, and especially putting money away for his two beautiful children, Lincoln and Penny. Phil was loved by many, and I hope you can find it in your heart to help out. We would love to see the community come together and smash this goal. We will post here and across social media as soon as we know plans for a service.

All funds received will go to Phil's mother, Terri McSmith. As his beneficiary, she will use these funds to pay for funeral and memorial expenses and any other medical bills that may be involved. Any additional monies will then be put towards his children's future.
