Bring Pedro Back to His Loving Family

Hello, my name is Alejandra, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share my family’s story. On Sunday, February 23, my dad, Pedro, was stopped by an immigration officer on his way to work. He was arrested and detained, taken away without any warning, and we were left with nothing but questions and fear. As soon as I found out, I came back to my hometown and put my academics on pause to support my family but there’s only so much I can do alone. I’m asking for your help to bring my dad home so we can continue to live the life we’ve built together in this country.

While we are already struggling with the immense emotional toll of losing my dad, we are also being saddled with an overwhelming financial toll. Costs like transportation fees, legal fees, and more, while having lost a major financial contributor in our family, are challenges we cannot solve alone. The reality is that without your support, we fear we could lose him forever.

My dad has the same dream all fathers have, for his children to have access to education and a better life than he had. He is a hardworking man, who does endless hours at the jobs nobody else would want, and still finds time to support his family, his neighbors, and his community. He is a loving father, husband, and friend.

Please, help us get my dad back. We are asking for your kindness, your generosity, and your belief in the importance of family. Our lives have been turned upside down, but together, we can bring him home.

Hola, mi nombre es Alejandra y con gran pesar estaré compartiendo la historia de mi familia. El domingo 23 de febrero, mi papá, Pedro, fue detenido por un oficial de inmigración cuando se dirigía al trabajo. Lo arrestaron y detuvieron, se lo llevaron sin previo aviso y no nos quedaron más que preguntas y miedo. Tan pronto como me enteré, regresé a mi hogar en Pasco, WA y puse mis estudios en pausa para ayudar a mi familia. Desafortunadamente, yo sola no puedo lograr mucho. Hoy les pido su ayuda para traer a mi papá a casa para que podamos continuar viviendo la vida que hemos construido juntos en este país.

Estamos luchando con el inmenso peso emocional de estar lejos de mi padre, y aparte nos enfrentamos a un abrumador costo financiero. Hemos perdido a un importante contribuyente financiero en nuestra familia. Entre tarifas de transporte y costos legales, estamos viviendo tiempos difíciles. Son desafíos que no podemos resolver solas. La realidad es que, sin su apoyo, tememos perderlo.

Mi papá tiene el mismo sueño que todo papá, que sus hijos tengan acceso a educación y a una vida mejor que la que él tuvo. Es un hombre trabajador, que cumple con interminables horas en trabajos que nadie más querría y aún encuentra tiempo para mantener a su familia, y brindar su ayuda y apoyo a vecinos y comunidad. Es un padre, esposo y amigo irremplazable.

Por favor, ayúdanos a recuperar a mi papá. Le pedimos su generosidad y su creencia en la importancia de la familia. Nuestras vidas se ha puesto patas arriba desde que todo esto sucedió, pero juntos podemos traer a mi papá de vuelta a casa.
