Hi, my name is Amanda Zubia, and I’m the founder of Acre Minds, an initiative dedicated to supporting teacher wellness and reducing burnout. After spending over a decade in the classroom myself, I know firsthand how heavy the demands on teachers can be — and how meaningful it is to feel seen, valued, and cared for. That’s why I started Acre Minds: to make sure teachers don’t have to carry it all alone.

Teachers are the roots of our schools — nurturing students, families, and communities. But right now, too many are running on empty. Burnout and stress are at an all-time high, and educators often feel unseen in the work they pour their hearts into every day.

That’s why Acre Minds created the Peace of Mind Care Package Giveaway — to bring encouragement, rest, and support straight to teachers’ doors. Each package includes hand-picked wellness items, thoughtful extras, and a personal note of appreciation.

I'm especially grateful to feature calming tools created by fellow educator and mental health advocate @TeacherGolz, including her Calm Kit and Notes of Self-Affirmation Cards. Her work is deeply aligned with the mission of Acre Minds, and she kindly gave her blessing to include these beautiful, intentional tools as part of our care packages.

The response to our first giveaway was overwhelming. Dozens of teachers entered, but with only one winner, we knew we wanted to find a way to thank all the others who expressed interest in the package.

It costs about $50 to send one Peace of Mind Care Package (covering purchase, packaging, and shipping). Our goal is to raise $1,800 so we can send care packages to every teacher who entered the giveaway but didn’t win.
