Bring Peace: Help with Cremation Costs
Donation protected
On September 27th, my father had passed away in a tent in Orlando, Florida during Hurricane Helene. This was 6 months and 20 days after my mother lost her battle to cancer.
This sudden and unfortunate event has put me in a tough position. While my father and I were not very close, we stayed in touch and he never failed to tell me how proud he was of me or how much he missed me and wished things were different. He was simply a man who let the worst things in life get the best of him. More importantly, he had no support system and there is nobody that can assist me with his passing.
I have no closure. They found his body too late to tell me how he died. I was not notified of his passing until 10/14, approximately 2 weeks after he had passed.
His family members are not interested in financially assisting me with putting his body to rest. It does not align with my morals to leave his body unclaimed, and I would like to get him cremated. I have nothing of his belongings except for some photos, and I think to have his ashes would bring me some peace of mind through all of this chaos.
Any contribution towards helping me cremate him will go a long way, and I appreciate anyone who reads this and considers helping me. Losing both of my parents in one year has certainly taken its toll on me but I will forever strive to live my life and honor them both.
