Hi, my name is Mia Johnson, and I’m the co-director of a local indie horror film that my friends and I have spent the past 5 months writing, filming, and producing. We’re all teenagers who have been learning everything as we go. No big budget. No studio. Just a borrowed camera, a marketplace mic, a love for filmmaking, and a group of people who cared enough to push through every challenge.

What started as a small idea between friends has grown into something we never expected. We shot on weekends, after school, squeezing scenes in between homework and part-time jobs. We poured ourselves into building a story inspired by the mystery and folklore of Appalachia, and we fought through weather, broken gear, long nights, and all kinds of obstacles to get this film made. Every part of it was done by teens who believed that creativity doesn’t need permission.

Now that the film is complete, we want to give it the premiere it deserves. A real event where our cast, crew, families, and community can come together to celebrate what young filmmakers can accomplish with passion and determination. A place where we can show people that teens can make art that matters.

But we can’t make this premiere happen on our own.

Your support will go directly toward renting a venue, securing sound and projection equipment, printing posters and promotional material, and covering the basic costs that make a community screening possible.
