Bring Our Gentle Giant Lyelle Home
Donation protected
On Monday the 17th of February our beautiful son, brother, partner, father, uncle, grandson and friend Lyelle Woodbury suddenly passed away leaving behind his gorgeous little boy Lyelle Jnr, Beautiful partner Kaneesha and a large community of people who absolutely loved and adored him.
Lyelle was born in Alice Springs, on August 19th in 1988 to proud parents Sareena Watts and George Woodbury. He grew up with his 3 brothers and 3 sisters and surrounded by his extended family and a community full of people who cherished him dearly. Lyelle spent his life growing up in Alice, Katherine and Adelaide making friends and special connections with everyone he met. Lyelle lost his father at the age of seven and took on a special roll of caring for and protecting his younger brother, sister and smaller cousins, niece and nephews, which he did with pride. He had a special ability to make everyone laugh, feel special and most of all feel loved.
Lyelle has had a very tough run with his health over the last few years but in 2018 Lyelle and his partner, Kaneesha, became a parents to the light of their lives, Lyelle Jnr. Lyelle often told people this was his greatest achievement and most rewarding job.
Lyelle’s family would like to bring him home to be laid to rest with his father in Alice Springs. We are asking for support to bring Lyelle home and to help support his young family with the funeral cost. All donations, great and small would be truly appreciated.

All proceeds will go to Lyelle's cousin, Rebecka Smith, who will be assisting Kaneesha and Sareena to organise travel and funeral arrangements. All donations will go to making Lyelle's final farewell as special as he deserved. Thank you for all of your support.
