Dear Friends,
This is one of the hardest messages I have ever had to write.
For seven months now, our bakery—our home, our dream, our daily joy—has been closed after the fire that changed everything.
Every morning since then, I’ve woken up missing the smell of fresh bread, the warmth of the ovens, and most of all… the familiar faces that made our little bakery feel alive. The loyal patrons
So many of you have asked when we will reopen. I wish I had an easy answer. We have almost completed the rebuild of the kitchen, and almost ready to reopen soon !
Rebuilding has become far more difficult than expected. Beyond the devastation of the fire itself, we are now facing major insurance issues. After months of waiting, we were told that essential parts of the rebuild would not be reimbursed. This has left us with a financial burden we simply cannot carry alone.
It breaks my heart to ask for help. You have supported us for years—with your loyalty, your smiles, your kindness. But today, if we are to rise from this and reopen the bakery you loved, I need to humbly ask for your support again.
I have created a fundraiser to help cover some of the rebuilding costs denied by insurance, replace our equipment, inventory, and bring the old team back to work .
A portion of this fundraiser, will go towards the ECLAIR BAKERY team.
Whether you can contribute a little or a lot, your help will bring us one step closer to reopening our doors and bringing our bakery back to life.
I cannot express how much this community means to me. You have been more than customers—you’ve been family. And I hope, with your support, we can rebuild something even stronger than before.
Thank you, from the deepest part of my heart, for reading this and for standing with us during this painful and uncertain time.
With love and gratitude,
Stephane, ECLAIR Bakery
