Orlando has been the heartbeat of his family. Today, that heart is missing. We are raising urgent funds for legal defense fees for Orlando, a devoted father, husband, and hardworking neighbor who was recently detained by ICE in Phoenix. Orlando has built a life of service and sacrifice here in Arizona since 2005.

Orlando is a proud jornalero. Whether he is sweating on a construction site or working long hours at a sugar packaging plant, his goal has always been the same: providing for his wife and their three children. He is a man who works the jobs that keep our city running, all to ensure his kids have a future.

The family lives humbly in a one-bedroom mobile home. Despite their challenges, Orlando’s hard work kept them afloat. Now, as the sole provider, his absence has left the family in a financial and emotional crisis.

His wife, who has spent the last decade and a half as a dedicated homemaker, is now stepping into the sugar processing plant to pick up shifts just to keep the lights on. But wages from temporary shifts cannot cover the thousands of dollars needed for an immigration attorney to fight Orlando's case and bring him home.
