Hello friends, family, and pet lovers! My name is Emily Lazar and I am writing you all on behalf of my friend/family Ms. Rachel Durbin-Nowicki. For those of you who know Rachel, you are already aware of the kind, compassionate, and amazing young lady that she is. For those of you who don't know her, Rachel is a superstar young lady who has dedicated the last year and a half of her life to the Peace Corps in Botswana helping others and teaching school in a small village. Rachel has helped many people and is one of the nicest and most caring people out there.
As you can imagine, life in Botswana is tough and can sometimes be lonely. One day, a little angel in a fur coat arrived outside of Rachel's quarters...a kitten that became the companion and furrever friend of Rachel. This kitten, named Olivia, ultimately became Rachel's lifeline in Botswana and the two of them are inseparable. As Rachel's time in Botswana comes to an end, many of us have pondered "what about Olivia????" This is where YOU, dear friends and family, come in!!!!! We are going to BRING OLIVIA HOME!!!! To do this is an expensive journey, though. It will take around $2,500 for all of the expenses and travel from Botswana to the US.
As Hillary said, "it takes a village!" No donation is too small and every dollar is appreciated in getting Miss Olivia home with her mom, Rachel. Rachel is looking to send Olivia home late June or early July, so donate if you can! Thank you! Thank You!
