I teach the Good Path program at Nuxalk College in Bella Coola, British Columbia (Nuxalk, unceded territory). We are raising funds to send the students in the Good Path program all the way to Toronto for a week!

These students are a truly awesome group of young people. As recent high school graduates, they chose to enroll in the Good Path program, a program designed to help them explore post-secondary options and develop academic and life skills as they transition into adulthood and further education.

To end the year, we hope to travel to Toronto, aka TO, aka the T dot, aka the 6ix :p This would be there furthest any of the students have traveled and a very cool opportunity to see first hand a bigger and wider world of possibilities available, which can sometimes be tough to imagine without direct exposure. This trip represents a rare opportunity for students to experience a super diverse and dynamic city, and these kinds of experiences have the potential to be transformative. I like to think this isn't just about a single trip, but more so about cultivating curiosity and growth longer-term. The hope is students will gain new perspective, build connections in a new place, and leave with the confidence that their aspirations are attainable and they can thrive wherever their paths may lead!

Your donation, no matter what size, will help make this happen. Contributions will help cover flights, accommodations, and planned activities in Toronto. If we happen to raise more than our goal, that money will go toward additional activities and group meals for students (I'm hoping this can happen so they can try all the amazing fooood!)
