Help Bring 28-Year-Old Niwedheethaa (“Niwe”) Home Through Emergency Medical Air Transport
On July 3, 2026, Niwedheethaa (“Niwe”), a vibrant 28-year-old Technical Account Manager at Rippling, was involved in a devastating highway accident on I-95 in North Carolina. After safely pulling over due to a vehicle emergency, her car was struck from behind at highway speed, leaving her with catastrophic injuries.
Niwe suffered a severe anoxic brain injury after cardiac arrest, along with multiple fractures, including her cervical spine, thoracic spine, ribs, and left arm. She has remained unconscious in the ICU at Cape Fear Valley Hospital for more than 26 days and continues to depend on intensive, life-sustaining care.
Niwe came to the United States on a Master’s scholarship, built a successful career through hard work, and was preparing to return permanently to India to begin a new chapter of her life with her upcoming wedding. Instead, her family now faces an unimaginable medical crisis.
Due to insurance limitations, long-term rehabilitation options in the U.S. are extremely limited. Her best chance for continued recovery is to be transferred to Chennai, India, where she can receive specialized neurological care surrounded by her family.
