Bring Nick Myatt home - urgent medical repatriation needed.
Donation protected
Dear friends, family and kind-hearted strangers,
We desperately need your help. We are Holly and Ben, and we are reaching out on behalf of our beloved Dad, Nick Myatt who urgently needs help.
Right now he he is facing an incredibly difficult and critical medical crisis, so we need to raise sufficient funds without delay to ensure he receives the care and support he must have to survive.
Nick has suffered a suspected stroke while in Corfu, Greece and his condition requires immediate specialised medical treatment. He has now spent three weeks in ICU, most of the time in an induced coma, but has now been transferred to a general ward.
The Greek healthcare system does not provide water, personal care or items such as towels, soap, and other essentials such as compression stockings to reduce the risk of clots. He currently requires 24/7 supervision which comes at the cost of 230 euros per day. This care ensures his safety and basic care requirements are met. There are no facilities for rehabilitation plus no service on the island to provide ongoing care and support following medical discharge.
Nick's best chance of successful rehabilitation is to to be closer to his family so that we can support and encourage him - we are desperate to have him back home in the UK!
Although we are doing everything we can to bring him home, the costs associated with medical repatriation are overwhelming and way beyond what we can manage alone.
