Please help the family of Nelson Morales! Nelson is a trusted friend and hard worker, and he desperately needs our help. Nelson was detained by ICE early this week and was immediately moved to a detention center in California. He is in the United States legally, owns a business that is legally registered in the state of Virginia, pays taxes, and contributes positively to the community. He and his wife are both here legally and have not committed any crimes. He has a wife and three small children who depend on his income. He was in the process of getting his citizenship and had already paid a lawyer who had been working on this for quite some time. Unfortunately, with the current situation in our country, everything is at a standstill. He had all his legal papers on him, but he was taking a lunch break at a restaurant, and when he walked out to the van, he and his crew were surrounded by ICE and taken into custody. He was allowed one brief call to tell his wife, and then he was taken away, and his family had no idea where he was for over 48 hours. This is unconstitutional and illegal, and it is happening right here in the town we live in!! This all occurred in the middle of the afternoon at the shopping center by Del Rio. Perhaps you have seen the videos of it all over social media. It is heartbreaking to see innocent people who have done nothing wrong being treated so unfairly with no due process. Legal fees are piling up, and their family depended on Nelson's income to live. His children are supposed to start school this week, and now everyone is afraid. Any amount or donation you can give would be so appreciated by their family as they work around the clock to bring Nelson home to his family.
