Help Natalie Get Home to Her Babies

Phase 1: $4,000 - Deadline: 3/15/26- COMPLETED

Phase 2: $11,000 - Deadline 5/15/26

We're asking for your help for someone a lot of us love. A woman, a mother, and a friend who is going through something none of us could have imagined. And right now, we have limited time to come together and change the course of her story.

Here's What Happened

Let us first acknowledge that we have all made difficult or imperfect choices in our lives, and we ask for compassion in this situation. We know the guilt and shame our friend has carried has been immense.

We have the opportunity as a collective to come together as people who have the means to help someone who does not. Even a small act of kindness can make a world of difference. We truly appreciate your compassion and generosity.

Due to a series of unfortunate events, Natalie was arrested in Mauritius on trafficking cannabis charges last year. She's currently being held in a local prison while she awaits sentencing and her situation is as urgent as it gets.

Natalie was also pregnant when she was arrested. She gave birth to her baby girl, Anu, while behind bars. Anu is with her right now, in that prison. Meanwhile, her other child, Ra, is back home in the United States, being cared for by the kind people in Natalie's village while we work to figure this out.

We're not here to sugarcoat the situation or pretend it's simple. It's not. It's a complex situation, but we know with absolute certainty that Natalie needs her people right now as she has been isolated in Africa for over a year. And her babies need their mother.

What We're Raising For

We have a real, specific plan to get Natalie out of prison and safely situated while her legal case moves forward. Here's exactly where every dollar will go:

PHASE 1 — COMPLETE! Thank you to everyone who donated so generously! If you are seeing this now and would like to know more details about phase one, please contact the organizers.

PHASE 2 — Freedom & Stability (Housing, Visa, and Anu)

Remaining $11,000 | 1 month-2 month estimated window

We move immediately into Phase 2 — raising the funds to get Natalie situated while her case proceeds. We are holding space for the miracle that she can return home to the states on bail. Please pray for that outcome with us. However, according to her lawyer, we need to be prepared for the reality that she may need to remain in Mauritius while on bail.

Visa / Residency Permit — $500
Natalie will need proper documentation to legally remain in Mauritius while her case is active.
Temporary Housing — $3,000
Six months of modest, safe housing for Natalie and baby Anu while things get sorted.
Living Expenses — $3,000
Six months of basic day-to-day needs — food, transportation, utilities — while she navigates this far from home.
Baby Anu's Needs — $1,500
Diapers, formula, clothing, medical care. Anu is a newborn. She deserves every bit as much support as her mom.
Contingency Buffer — $3000
International legal situations have a way of surfacing unexpected costs. This keeps us from being caught off guard.

We're asking you to act now — not eventually, not when it's convenient. Now.

Even $10 from you, multiplied by the size of this community, can change everything.

A Gift From Natalie to You

Natalie's ability to communicate from prison has been incredibly limited. Most people who love her have barely been able to hear her voice, let alone understand what she's going through on the inside.

As a token of her deep gratitude, every donor will receive an exclusive podcast-style recording from Natalie herself — her story, in her own words, shared directly with the people who show up for her. It's a deeply personal account that very few have been able to hear. This is her way of saying thank you, and of letting you in.

How to Help Beyond Donating

Share this campaign. Even if you can't give right now, sharing this page costs nothing and could reach the person who can. Post it on your stories, text it to your group chats, drop it in your community feeds.
Send love and prayers. If you know Natalie or her family personally, a message goes a long way right now.

Natalie is someone who has given a lot of herself to a lot of people over the years. She’s a human who was desperate to support her family and caught in a horrible situation.

She's always shown up for others in hard moments. Now it's our turn. It is our prayer that her story is met with more compassion and less judgment. Sometimes when people are facing serious financial hardship, they make choices they later regret. This is about a mom, two babies, and a desire for her to be able to be in the USA to finish her sentence. We believe in community that doesn't leave people behind when things get hard. We believe God can move mountains and when two or more are gathered in prayer, he is here with us.

Thank you and God bless

All funds raised will go directly toward Natalie's housing, and living expenses as itemized above. Any amount raised beyond the goal will be held in reserve for additional expenses or used to help cover costs of reuniting Natalie with her child Ra in the future.
