Bring My Wife Home
$7,953 raised of $15K
I am raising funds for my wife to help bring her home from immigration detention.
My wife came to the United States from Cameroon two years ago, seeking safety from the ongoing conflict in her home country. She applied for asylum and has been patiently waiting for her hearing. While returning from visiting a friend, she was detained by ICE agents and taken into detention.
An immigration lawyer requested her release on bond, and a judge set that bond at $15,000. I cannot afford that amount on my own, and I am asking for help during this difficult time. There is also urgency because my wife might be deported.
The funds raised will go toward my wife's bond release and lawyer fees, which are also $15,000. The financial burden is too much for me to carry alone. Every donation, no matter the size, will help bring her one step closer to coming home. If you are not able to donate, sharing this fundraiser would also mean so much. The money paid for the immigration bond is generally refundable once the asylum case is closed and the bond conditions are met. When the money is returned, it will be used to pay the lawyer’s fees.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support.
