Bring my wife Emily Casey Griffiths home from Gran caniri

Hello all, My name is Jamie casey and I have set up a go fund me page to help bring my wife home from our family holiday in Gran Canaria.
  • Emily is only 34 years old and is the mother to our five children. Emily is currently in a coma on a life support machine in Gran Canaria and has been so since last Wednesday.
Whilst on our family holiday emily started to feel unwell and was struggling to breathe so I took her to the hospital. On arrival at the hospital I explained Emily's symptoms and also told them that Emily had recently recovered from pneumonia. On hearing this the doctors suspected and potential blood clot in the lung and asked for £3000 upfront to perform a CT scan.
Emily’s dad John immediately transferred the funds so that Emily could have the scan. Once the scan was complete we were told that the pneumonia had come back again and that one of her lungs was full and the other half full of fluid. The doctors then told us that they would have to drain the fluid out of Emily’s lungs. I was then asked to leave the ICU unit and retun back to the hotel to be with our 5 children.
Through out the night I phoned and messaged Emily to check in on her but was met with no reply from both the phone calls and messages. The next day I rushed to the hospital to be with Emily but was told that Emily was now in an induced coma. As soon as I was told this I was shocked and panicked and started to phone around the family to update them all. Emily's mum then got on the next available flight to be by her side.
I then continued to visit Emily in hospital whilst trying to act normal and happy around the children when back at the hotel. As our holiday ended on Tuesday I flew back to England with the kids to arrange childcare so that I could go back to Gran Caniria. I am now back with Emily and things seemed to be improving until we were told Emily now has sepsis. Fourtantly the doctors told us they had caught the sepsis in time and were treating her with antibiotics.
as the days went by Emily seemed to be carrying on improving until today we were told that Emily had gone backwards, they told us the doctors had done an x-ray on Emily’s chest and were shocked to discover the pneumonia has taken over her lungs again, and that the sepsis is now in her blood stream. Yet they also tell us that they can't seem to find the correct antibiotics to treat the Infection so more blood tests are needed.
Just after the first day of emily being in the coma I was asked by the doctor for more funds (£8000) and was also asked about insurance. Emily does have insurance but as Emily didn't declare that she recently had pneumonia they have told us there is a good chance the policy will be void. This was the last conversation I have had with the insurance company which was well over a week ago and since this conversation myself, Emily's mum or the hospital can get intouch with them.
I have left it so long to create this page as I was hoping the medical bills would be covered by the insurance company but now I feel the chance of this happening is very slim. This is why im desperately turning to the help and generosity of family, friends and the general public to help bring My wife Emily home. I thank you all from the bottom of mine and our children’s hearts for any donations you can make during this difficult time no matter how big or small, and we thank you all for reading and sharing this page.
