On November 21st, our lives were shattered in a way we never thought possible. Our parents, Anthony and Jessica Romo, were high school sweethearts who spent 39 years side by side. Tragically, they were taken from us in a car accident, driving through black ice on the 15 freeway near Barstow as they returned from their final cruise. Losing both parents on the same day is a pain we can barely find words for. Our hearts are broken, our family's shaken, and the world feels so different without them.
Anthony and Jessica met at Whittier High School, where their love story began. They were young, carefree, and inseparable. Over the years, their love only grew stronger. They loved going on cruises, traveling, exploring, and making memories wherever they went. They were each other's best friends and soulmates, building a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unconditional love. My mom Jessica passed away at the scene and is still in San Bernardino County. My dad Anthony was taken by ambulance but passed away before he could be airlifted. Knowing the details has been incredibly painful, but the only small comfort we have is knowing that they left the world together and neither of them will ever have to face a day without the other.
They leave behind their four children—Josh, Alexis, Johnny, and David—and their beloved grandchildren Maya, JJ, Amelia, Scarlett, and Jiraiya. We are completely heartbroken and trying our best to hold it together for each other. Right now, we are trying to bring our mom back home to Vegas and arrange services to honor our parents and the love they shared. We are overwhelmed with grief and the unexpected expenses that come with a tragedy like this. Any support, whether it's a donation, a share, or a prayer, means everything to us during this dark moment in our lives. Thank you for helping us honor Anthony and Jessica's memory and the love story that will forever live through our lives.
