Bring "The Mouth" to Life!!

Hi, my name is Ryan Arthurs, and I'm a filmmaker with a burning passion for horror. I've poured my heart and soul into writing and planning a short film that I believe has the potential to captivate audiences and launch my career as the next big name in the genre.

Why It Matters:

This film isn’t just a passion project—it's my calling card. I want to submit it to film festivals, where it can get noticed by industry professionals and help me build a career as a horror filmmaker. I’ve applied for grants and competitions for indie horror filmmakers to try and get monetary support for this but didn’t have any luck. That’s why I’m reaching out to you.

Over the past year, I’ve invested nearly $10,000 of my own money into buying the necessary equipment to shoot something of quality for this very project. This includes new lenses, new lights, a gimbal, grip equipment, etc. And I've had family invest in a new camera body and sound equipment for me as well. I've created an amazing and thrilling script with my co-writer, I put together a detailed and bold lookbook that outlines my vision, and now, I need your help to take this project from dream to reality.

Why I’m Raising Funds:

Making a film isn’t easy, especially when you're committed to doing it right. The funds I raise will go toward:

Feeding the Crew: I have an amazing team of about 10 crew members, 4 main actors and 7 extras who are dedicating their time and talent to this project. Good food keeps the creative energy flowing! And keeping them fed and happy for a week adds up!

SFX Makeup: Special effects makeup is vital to the story and the impact of this film. This is a must have. This is a horror movie, after all! And SFX makeup can get quite expensive. Especially for what we need.

Unforeseen Costs: On any film set, there are always unexpected expenses—whether it's replacing broken equipment, sourcing last-minute props, or handling logistical surprises. Your support ensures we’re ready for anything that comes our way.

Supporting the Team: My team members are offering to work for free because they believe in this project as much as I do. I would like to offer some kind of small monetary compensation for their incredible work and efforts and If we surpass the goal I would love to actually pay them industry standard rates.

This will be a 7-day shoot in the spring with a talented group of creatives. Every detail is carefully pre planned to assure things run smoothly and timely!
