My name is Stephanie La and my Dad was taken into custody by ICE today (September 5, 2025) at approximately 9am PST.

My Dad has been struggling with serious health issues, including a weak heart that has required multiple hospital visits in recent months. Even walking short distances is difficult for him. Despite this, he has always been a hardworking, kind, and caring member of our community.

With his sudden detention, our family is short of devastated. My Dad is the head of our household, and without him, my Mom and five younger siblings are left in an incredibly difficult position. We are doing everything we can to find legal representation for him, while also trying to cover living expenses and support my Mom and siblings during this time.
