Bring My Dad Home and Protect His Identity

I never imagined our family would have to ask for help just to get through something like this. I’m raising funds for my dad after he was detained by ICE and taken to the ICE Tacoma Facility. Even though ICE had his identification, a different name was assigned to him after he arrived. Charges and a criminal record that do not belong to my dad were associated with that name, even though my dad has no criminal record.
My dad was the main supporter of our family, and his absence has left us facing both emotional pain and immediate financial hardship. What has made this even harder is that he did not have the chance to seek legal counsel before he was moved from Washington to Texas. Our family is now trying to navigate an overwhelming situation while fighting to protect his true identity and prove that the charges and record tied to that other name are not his.
For us, this is about more than paperwork. It is about my dad, his identity, his freedom, and our family’s ability to stay together. We are seeking legal help now so he has the best chance to have his true identity recognized, challenge the information that does not belong to him, and get the representation he needs to come home.
