Dennis Crider joined our family as an infant. One day in elementary school my late sister and I found a baby outside crying. Upon our Mom learning of the unfortunate circumstances that Dennis was in as an infant, she adopted him, as his biological mother was in no condition to care for him or any of her other children. We found Dennis was always defeating the odds that were against him. He was born with fetal alcohol syndrome, three months early. Doctors believed he wouldn't speak at all, in fact he did not even say his first word until he was five years old. Thay also said he would not be a full functioning adult. Dennis Proved them wrong graduating from Waggoner High School, in Louisville, KY. After high school Dennis joined the Air Force where he was stationed in Dover, Delaware.
Once his time with the Air Force was done, he always has great love for the second amendment. Dennis worked in security for a significant time of his life.
Dennis moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to have the opportunity for a fresh start. We have all been so proud of him and everything that he accomplished since then. With the assistance of the VA, Dennis was able to get his first apartment in New Mexico. A recent accomplishment is that Dennis celebrated one year sobriety from alcohol in July 2024. His newest passion was bowling and working on his goal of eventually going pro. Dennis found the joy of great friends and co-workers, who were like family. Dennis recently received a promoted at work to a Ful-Time Machine Maintenace position with full benefits. He was a veteran, who served in the Air Force as an aerospace ground equipment apprentice. receiving several metals. He was also an animal lover and enjoyed cooking a good meal. However even with these newly founded joys, Dennis seemed to face one obstacle after another and struggled much of his life. Like so many others, Dennis has gone to soon.
The only immediate family he has is his nephew, Jared, his niece, Jasmine, and sister, Michelle. We live in Louisville, Kentucky. Since I am his next of kin, I am now faced with all of these difficult decisions. We have no idea what his final wishes were. Unfortunately, we don't have the money, so that alone is how some things are decided.
We managed to get a rental car and drove 18 hours to get here, to New Mexico. We are now faced with the burden of how to get him home. In order for us to be able to do anything, we need help, so please don't hesitate. Click below on Dontate.
I am asking for help from anyone that can. Everyone usually has that little bit of spare change that you've collected each day. I'm asking for you to please donate it to where it will be used for us to bring him back home and we can visit him.
