Bring Murali Home: Urgent Medical Transport Needed

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Compassionate Souls,

My name is Siva Prasad Penaganti, and I am writing with both immense gratitude and an urgent plea for continued support for my younger brother, Murali Sai Penaganti, 24. Since March 13, 2025, Murali has been battling FIRES (Febrile Infection-Related Epilepsy Syndrome)—a rare, life-threatening neurological condition that changed his life overnight.

Over the past months Murali has endured repeated seizures, a tracheostomy, PEG placement, and advanced therapies such as rituximab and tocilizumab. He spent weeks in ICUs across Oklahoma and Texas, most recently at Baylor University Medical Center in Fort Worth, where he continues to receive critical neurological care. Thanks to your generosity so far, Murali has received life-saving treatments and I have been able to remain by his side throughout this unimaginable ordeal. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for every prayer, every donation, and every message of support—you have given our family hope when we needed it most.

Your contributions have already covered significant hospital expenses—ICU stays, ventilator support, medications, MRI/CT scans, EEG monitoring—and allowed me to travel and stay with Murali so he was never alone. Yet the road ahead is still long and uncertain. Murali’s doctors now strongly recommend that he return home to India as soon as possible to continue rehabilitation and neurological treatment surrounded by our parents’ care and the familiar support of home.

Bringing Murali home is not simple. Because of his fragile condition, he requires specialized medical transportation—a fully equipped air ambulance with a doctor and medical staff to monitor him during the long journey. Murali’s health insurance expired on July 31, 2025, and our family is already burdened with an education loan of ₹40 lakhs for his studies. The estimated cost of medical evacuation and initial rehabilitation in India is about $50,000, a figure we cannot meet on our own.

Your help will directly fund:
* ✈️ Medical evacuation to India – an air ambulance with full medical equipment and onboard medical staff.
* ‍⚕️ Medical escort team – a doctor and trained personnel ensuring Murali’s safe journey.
* Rehabilitation and neurological care in India – ongoing therapy and treatment essential to his recovery.

Our parents have been in agony, unable to be with Murali through these critical months. We long for the day when he can be reunited with them and continue healing with the love and strength only family can provide.

Every donation—no matter the amount—brings us closer to bringing Murali home and giving him the chance at recovery he so desperately needs. If you are unable to give financially, please consider sharing this campaign within your community; spreading the word can make a tremendous difference.

From our entire family, thank you for standing with us. Your kindness and compassion have already carried us through the darkest times. With your continued support, we can finally bring Murali home to the care, love, and hope he deserves.

With deepest gratitude,
Siva Prasad Penaganti
