** update number 2. I gave birth on the 9th of December and my baby stayed in the NICU she’s coming home on the 1st of January. Moises had his initial immigration court on the 29th of December and they gave him another one for the 27th of January. He is still in custody, he had a bond hearing today the 30th of December but the judge claimed he didn’t have jurisdiction so he couldn’t give him bond. We are waiting for Moises to get a bond hearing through the Habeas Corpus that the lawyer filed on the 9th of December. All the proceeds of this go fund me have been used for legal fees only. I raised the limit because we are seeing that the bond amounts are upwards of 25 thousand. Thanks again to all who have and continue to donate in this difficult time for my family.

Hello, my name is Esmeralda. My husband, Moises, who was the sole financial provider of our home, was detained by ICE on 11/18/2025. I am a stay-at-home mom and am currently pregnant with our third child, a little girl who is due December 14th. Our other two kids are ages 5 and 2.

Our lawyer is asking for $26,000 for representation. That does not include what we would have to pay for bond. Moises is a good man who is always trying to help others. Even while detained, he has used his calls to me to locate family members for other detainees. He isn't a criminal, just a hardworking family man. He's a deacon at our local church and also the leader of our juniors group.

first and foremost I want to thank everyone who has donated and shared this go fund me. It is a huge financial relief to know I am able to pay the lawyers. May God bless each and every one of you. Moises has a court date for the 5th of December and we are all praying they give him a bond and that’s it’s not anything too high. However the lawyers have told me that bonds right now are really high. That is why I automated the amount to raise once we reach the current goal. Some may notice there is a beneficiary on the account now. That man is my father. The money will go into his account and he will take it out and give it to me. I had to add him because my bank account was a joint bank account with Moises as a primary and the bank is asking for his permission to do anything with large sums of money. (Permission he can’t currently give because it has to be done through his phone which is currently in ICE Custody.) I feel the need to share this because you all deserve to know where the money donated is going. I will continue to update as I get more information. Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart.
