The Story of Missy
I first met Missy when I rescued her from Ireland as a vulnerable foal. I poured my heart into her, nursing her back to health and giving her the start in life she deserved. In September 2025, due to a heartbreaking change in circumstances, I had to make the difficult decision to sell her for £600, believing she was going to a stable forever home.
The Current Crisis
Since I sold her, Missy has been passed from dealer to dealer. I have finally tracked her down, but she is no longer the healthy filly I raised. At nearly two years old, she is "tucked up," underweight, and her feet are in a state of serious neglect, overgrown and flared. Despite her deteriorating condition, the current dealer has a massive markup on her, and I am terrified she will be moved on again before I can get her out of this cycle. She is due to go to auction next week.
The Goal: £3,000
I am fighting to get Missy back into my care where she is safe. I am raising £3,000 to cover the following:
• £2,500: Current dealer’s asking price to "buy her back."
• £200: Immediate professional transport to bring her home safely.
• £300: Urgent corrective farriery for her feet and a full veterinary assessment (worming, nutrition, and health check).
My Promise to You
I want to be 100% transparent with everyone helping us.
• Refund Policy: If for any reason the sale does not go through, any donation over £20 will be fully refunded to the donor.
• Charity Donation: Any remaining funds (including donations under £20 if the sale fails) will be donated directly to World Horse Welfare to help other horses in similar dealer cycles.
Missy is a sweet, resilient mare who has already been through so much in her short life. She deserves to come back to the person who has loved her since she was a baby.
Please help me bring Missy home. Whether you can donate £1 or just share this link, every bit of help counts.
Thank you for being part of Missy’s journey.
