Hello Friends and Family,
On 10/31/20, my brother Alex's girlfriend disappeared from the home they share together with their daughter, my niece, Asimina (Mina) and we do not know where they are. Police reports have been filed, and all due process has been adhered to.
We need to quickly raise funds to retain legal counsel and fight to bring Mina home and to hire a private investigator to track their whereabouts.
Asimina's mother is diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and does not adhere to a medication and treatment plan to manage her mental health. Her ongoing violent mood swings and impulsivity made their relationship untenable for my brother and was adversely affecting their daughter's well-being and the peace of the home.
When he suggested a separation and coming to an amicable parenting agreement, the next day she was gone with my brother's daughter, taking only their clothing and important paperwork.
There is a strong suggestion that they returned to the mother's home state of Louisiana and hidden her there. If this is true, we are in for a lengthy legal battle.
My brother is an Army Veteran, diligent, faithful Christian, loving, hard-working, and an EXCELLENT father. Asimina is his entire world and all his free time is spent with her. He works as a Welder/General Construction and is the primary provider of the household. As hard as he works and as much as he has endeavored to save over the years, the possibility of having enough funds to pay for the inevitable lawyer's fees that will no doubt continue to accumulate is beyond his grasp.
Our mother Desi is heartbroken, as she was Mina's caregiver, Monday through Friday, and Mina's best friend. The bond between the two of them is unbreakable and she is devastated.
PLEASE help our family with whatever you can to bring our sweet angel and the heart of our family home safe. We miss her beyond words and not knowing where she is or if she is safe is the worst torture imaginable.
