Bring Mia Home: Her Life is at Risk

Help Save Mia, Our Beloved Family Dog!
Our dog Mia is fighting for her life, and we urgently need your help. What started as a routine kidney stone suddenly became a life-threatening liver bleed, triggered by a split-second decision by surgeons to perform a biopsy. The surgeons have been working around the clock to stabilize her, and now Mia needs at least one more week in the UC Davis ICU before she can safely come home.
Earlier this week, our family was preparing to say goodbye, but there is newfound hope. The biopsy has earned it's keep by showing that her liver has a real chance to recover and function normally. Mia herself is showing incredible courage - despite the pain, she still wags her tail, sniffs other dogs, and keeps fighting every day.
Mia isn’t just a pet, she is the heart of our family. For our empty-nester parents, she is the favorite child. Everyone who meets her notices the depth in her eyes and the warmth of her soul. She has been a constant source of comfort and emotional support - not only for our parents, but for all of us as we navigate life’s challenges.
This past year has been especially hard for our family. Our parents are living on a single income after my dad recently lost his job, their car broke down last month, and he was hospitalized himself just two weeks ago. Earlier this year, we also had to say goodbye to their other beloved dog. Their financial reserves and emotional strength have been stretched to the limit - but Mia still gives them joy, comfort, and love every day.
We are asking for your help to cover the medical expenses that will give Mia the chance to heal and come home. She has fought so hard, and we’re not ready to give up on her. Every donation brings us one step closer to saving her life.
Please help us bring Mia home.
