Help Bring Mia Home!
Last Wednesday night around 8:15 PM, Mia went missing near S Second Street and Ann Street in downtown Wilmington, NC. Her owners were in town for their destination wedding on Friday and had to leave town on Sunday without being able to locate her.
Over the past few days, family and friends have spent countless hours searching on foot through the night and early mornings, posting on social media, checking shelters, making flyers, and talking to neighbors. There have been a few potential sightings, so we truly believe she is still nearby but just scared and hiding. Mia is microchipped, but she’s very skittish and likely will not come out on her own.
At this point, her owners are going to hire professional help. This includes a trained scent tracking dog and other experts who specialize in locating lost pets. These services can be expensive, and after the cost of the wedding and travel, the newlyweds could really use our help covering these unexpected costs.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward costs to find Mia and bring her home.
Mia has been part of their family since she was a tiny puppy. They adopted her shortly after moving to Raleigh, and she’s been by their side ever since. Losing her like this has been devastating but we’re not going to give up on finding her.
