Who am I?

My name is Jillian Blevins . I’m an emerging New England based playwright with a passion for telling stories about connection and resilience.

What is MERE WATERS?

MERE WATERS is a historical drama inspired by the true story of Doctor Gisella Perl and the life-saving abortions she performed while interred at Auschwitz. It’s a story of mothers, daughters, faith, and survival.

What is SheNYC?

SheNYC is a femme-led 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that fights for gender equity in the arts & entertainment industry. They focus most of our support on the original creators — playwrights, composers, and producers — to get more women, trans, and non-binary people in these roles that decide which stories get told.

MERE WATERS will be one of eight world premiere plays in their summer 2024 Festival at the Connelly Theatre in the East Village.

How can you help?

SheNYC shows are co-produced by the festival and the playwright. Even with the generous resources made available by SheNYC, making theatre is expensive! Just a few things your donations help us with:
