Help Us Restore Water To Our Home
Hello, My name is Tosha, formally known as Norman.
Look, I am not used to asking for help. A Part of me feels embarrassed, uncomfortable and rigid. (Note: I was so uncomfortable in the video that I forgot to connect my feelings with needs. When I think about it now, I am sensing that respect, authenticity and trust are some of the needs or values that are stimulated by asking for your support).
Our well is basically out of water and we need a new well.
I am 76 years old. I do not have the income nor the savings to pay for it so am asking for your help.
Each year we have less water in our well. At this point, if we flush the toilet twice, we are out of water for several hours. We now use 12 (count them, 12)- 5 gallon containers of water for drinking, washing, cleaning and watering plants. For washing dishes, we heat some of this bottled water on the stove in a big pot. We are unable to use our clothes washer and must take our laundry to the laundromat 1 hour drive away. I am lucky that our town has a spring ½ hr drive from our house where we can fill the bottles without cost.
For health reasons, I am supposed to do a detox regimen which includes daily salt baths. We use 8 bottles of water for each bath and need to carry those upstairs to where the tub is so we only do this every 2 or 3 days. We purchased a heater we put in the water to warm it. It takes 6-8 hours to heat the water.
Taking a shower is only possible if I use the water just to briefly get wet and to rinse – while turning the water off during soaping and washing.
The total estimate for the work of the well drillers, plumber and electrician is approximately $30,000. I need half of that for my portion. If you have the resources and would enjoy helping us with this problem, please contribute what you can comfortably enjoy.
Thank you
