A special note from the parents, Madeline and Taco:

Hi, this is not the update that anyone wants.

Madelines c-section was good and her recovery is smooth so far.

Rygo however…. When Rygo was delivered, he struggled to switch gears to start breathing air right away. The lack of oxygen for a while did damage to a lot of organs. We were rushed to Waikato NICU where he fought for five days. He made a lot of progress through the ups and downs. He’s a fighter and he’s so strong.

Rygo Galaxy Bell went to heaven on the 28th July.

Thankfully after spending nearly four days hooked up to machines, he was finally strong enough to spend a lot of time in our arms, peacefully resting. Then passed away peacefully in his mother’s arms.

We are both so thankful for the time we had together, he fought so hard and we’re so proud of him. We’re thankful for getting to be his parents, for the chance to hold him and his giant little feet.

He will always be our sweet baby.

There aren’t enough stars in the galaxy to count how much love was exchanged between us and all the wonderful people in our lives.

We have each other and we thank you for loving us and for all your support during this time.
