This fundraiser is to help Macay get home after a tragic accident out of state left her with minimal resources. Additionally, she will need to cover medical and living expenses and she may be out of work temporarily. Her story she shared is as follows:

On the last day of the year, Dec 31 at 2pm in the afternoon, I was ejected from and ran over by a moving vehicle. I’ve been in the hospital since then. I am effectively stranded as I have none of my resources or belongings. I hate to ask but I need help. They cut my clothes off, my phone is shattered from the fall. I have my tablet to communicate with and I just really don’t know what to do or even where to go, IF they release me tomorrow. I just came out of surgery recovery and I’m anxious. I Can’t fly without an ID, I can’t drive with my leg. I broke my tibia, and the driver crushed it. Im not in my home state of Iowa, so I am not close. I have a small amount of cash on me, not enough to buy a ticket, What can I do?!
