Hello! My name is Madison, and I’m Lola’s mom. Lola is a 2 year old French bulldog who we adopted from the MSPCA in September. 13 days ago Lola had an emergency where she ended up hospitalized at MSPCA Angell in the ICU for what they called life-threatening pneumonia. Lola was discharged home to us on antibiotics and appeared to be doing better. This morning Lola had a second emergency related to the pneumonia and is back in the ICU at MSPCA Angell. Her initial bill was $3600, and today it cost us $6900 because they need payment in order to even admit her. Lola also affectionately known as Lola Bean and Muffinette is the sweetest dog. She absolutely loves us and is the first to hop up onto the couch to give endless kisses or frequently turn around to make sure we’re following closely behind on walks. She’s happiest when she has her eyes on us. We’ve only had Lola for two months now, but she’s become apart of our family. If we’re unable to afford this bill, we could have to surrender her back to the shelter. I understand that times are tough for everyone, and most people don’t have extra money to spare. I’m simply asking if you have even a few extra dollars you could donate, please help us get Lola the care she needs so she can come back home to us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading our story.
