From the heart of Gaza, amidst the darkness and destruction caused by the war in Gaza, where hopes are fading under the weight of conflict and siege, a small candle of hope glows in the tent of Yasser's family on a story of daily struggle. Yasser lives with his wife and three children in a tent that is cold in winter and hot and bug-free in summer. The father lost his job due to the war and is now unemployed, barely able to provide a living, and he has taken on a lot of debts that he is now unable to pay off. As for the mother, she is a psychologist who is trying hard to provide psychological support to her children and the local community, but she faces great challenges in light of the difficult circumstances.
Yasser dreams of seeing his children go to school and get a good education, but the harsh conditions deprive them of this right. There are no schools left, they have been destroyed or turned into shelters. Their school books are torn and their clothes are worn out. He dreams of his children becoming doctors to treat their fellow countrymen and engineers to participate in rebuilding Gaza, but he feels hopeless about the unknown future and is constantly afraid of the sound of impending explosions. They are trying to instill hope in their children's hearts, but they feel helpless in the face of the suffering and challenges they face daily.
Let us be the light of hope in their lives and help them build a better future. Your donation will help provide food, medicine and clothing, repair the tent and prepare it for winter, provide educational opportunities for the children, and pay off their accumulated debts. Every donation, no matter how small, represents a ray of hope in the life of this family. Every dollar is a building block in building a better future for this family. Imagine the joy that will appear on the children's faces when their wishes are granted.
My name is Lucy Thornton, I live in Dallas Texas and I started this fund to help my friend Yasser and his family during this excruciatingly painful time in their lives. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
