My name is Bear Kimber. A few years ago, I was gifted a beautiful solar system, but I have never had enough money to get it installed. Now I really need my communities' help. My partner, Susan is having medical issues that make it important that she can come live with me in Jamesburg where I live off grid (15 plus years!) The long hours of darkness when the generator is off is a hardship for Susan.
I have promised her we will have the solar installed before she moves in. My timeline is pretty critical to get her moved in the next two months, while we can still get big trucks up the mountain.
I have a great labor crew to help me put it all together and our local Will Drew is the brains behind this project. I will be very grateful for any help I can get!! Thank you Bear Kimber ☮️
Bear has been a long time community leader in many aspects, without calling attention to self. Bear was a volunteer of Cachagua Fire Volunteers, (a firefighter EMT at age 50, later retiring as a senior EMT under our beloved battalion chief at that time Jaime Del Valle) for 18 1/2 years, with 10 years of driving and rescue.
She also rescued discarded bicycles to repair over the years for children to receive for Christmas. Bear and her partner Susan were licensed landscaper contractors for 34 years, making beautiful gardens all over the peninsula, as Property Service Landscaping and Gardening, making clients feel richly happy! In the early 90's, , their business split into two, the landscape/construction business was Bear's Stonebear Landscape Construction business, and Susan's became Property Service Garden Maintenance.
Both Bear and Susan have earned several awards for their gardens thorough the California Landscape Contractors Association over the years.
Money has not been ample, but their lives are very ingrained and richly intertwined with experiences and interactions with our communities, their clients , and many country kids they watched grow up, they say have been wonderful.
While their hearts are richly fulfilled, let's help Bear and Susan attain what they need, in return for all they have done for our communities!
