**UPDATE: Leia's surgery went well! They called again this morning 4/6/25 to let us know that we can go pick her up at noon today**

Hey everyone. My name is Jennifer and this is our dog Leia. If you know me, you know I’m not someone to ever ask for handouts. If you know me, you also know that almost two years ago, we suddenly lost our 6yo Great Dane Grayson to bloat and there was nothing we could do to save him….. Today our Leia girl started acting off, pacing and dry heaving. I called my husband home from the gym, called our breeder for advice, and shortly after he took her to the ER where they did an Xray and learned that her stomach had flipped. I did attach the estimate form here. It was more but they were able to take off 10% for my husband being a veteran. This is a huge amount of money and we aren’t expecting it to be paid off by others but we are grateful for any amount. Leia is in surgery right now and hopefully we will be able to bring her home tomorrow. As you can imagine $8000 is a lot of money and this was extremely unexpected.
