Bring Laurie home to lay her to rest.

The family of Laurie Tankersley is accepting pledges to go towards expenses to bring her home from Texas to California.

Derick Tankersley is her youngest son who resided in Texas with his mother and now only his father.

These are some of Derick’s words on his mother:

My mother, Laurie Tankersley was a person loved by all. She loved making friends even with the most unlikely of people. She was able to make someone’s day just a bit better through her amazing personality. It has been really hard but I know she’s in a better peaceful place.

Unfortunately, Laurie’s children lost their beautiful mother. Her daughter, Veronica and her husband, Robert as well as her entire family now mourn the loss of her. Her passing was unexpected and devastating to all her loved ones.

Laurie suffered from Epilepsy and left us do to unexpected brain complication after a terrible last episode that resulted in us having to come to terms with reality. We had to let her go. In turn, this resulted in medical bills and expenses to allow for the easing of her passing and of course to bring her home to rest.

We would like to honor her wish to return home to California. It would make her happy to be back home and with family and friends as she was planning to do before her death.

All donations will go towards proceeds to her funeral and the transportation from Texas to California will all be greatly appreciated.
