PLEASE CHECK YOUR JUNK RMAIL FOLDERS!! I’m having a few fb issues. I have tried to reply to messages on here but it appears they are not being sent so I have replied to the emails the messages have come from but they may go into your spam folder.

UPDATE 25/09/24…. Soooo excited today. Tomorrow my wonderful English friend land in Laganas for their holiday… and more importantly to hunt down lady muck #teamladymuck continues. They are going to ensure she is still in the area and take her food and check if she’s has given birth over the next week or 2 AND be my representatives in Greece to enable her to be peacefully caught and then taken to her foster home to be safe until hopefully November when there is a place to transport her to the UK

I can not wait to hear her happy little chirp she does every time she sees me

once again I can not thank people enough for helping me to pull this off. It’s not all about donations, yes they help as it’s a lot of money to find at short notice BUT also for the wonderful people helping me figure this whole process out as I have only ever rescued in the UK before and it’s a totally different process. You are all amazing!!!

on a separate note, should you ever have the joy of visiting the beautiful island of Zakynthos please look out for brightly decorated little drain pipes with screw lids on top. These are placed by wonderful volunteers as stray cat feeder for all the poor cats that have to survive the winter months when all the scraps from tourists and restaurants vanish. Many don’t survive. If you can not place dry food in them please still check them. At times after heavy rain fall the bottom of the pipe fills with water, please take a second to empty it out so the food is not destroyed by the water ❤️ if you are all inclusive and can’t quite finish a meal, please always take a freezer bag with you, save the rind of meats and left over bits, you will not be able to walk 5 minutes without coming across a hungry face that will be so greatfull for what you would otherwise bin❤️

UPDATE I am now back in the Uk . Flew back this morning. Having being heart broken at being let down by a foster home at the last moment I was a bit defeated but this cat mum doesn’t quit, and I may be off the island but I will not quit.

i have spoken with an amazing person willing to take lady muck in so she can peacefully give birth and raise her babies until they are all old enough and inoculated and able to come home❤️❤️❤️

it’s a mine field being English and knowing little Greek , trying to understand all the process, bit I have had many miracle stories sent to me from beautiful people that tried and achieved what I am trying…. It is possible….. very, very, very difficult BUT doable.

My mission continues from rainy old England !!!!

Hi, last year my husband and I traveled to Zakynthos for our honeymoon and stayed in Laganas. We quickly became proud pet parents to a beautiful girl who lived on our balcony with us for our stay.

this year we returned for our anniversary .
and on day 2 she appeared again and has been our shadow the past 2 weeks.

she is so loving and affectionate and…. Also sadly pregnant!

I have desperately tried to find someone here to take her in as rescues have advised us she got pregnant the wrong end of tourist season and in a few weeks laganas shits down taking with it the restaurant scraps and the tourists the cats depend on for food. It’s also storm time of year and they have said it is highly unlikely her babies will survive the winter.

she can not be flown back to the UK because she is to far in her pregnancy…BUT she also can’t be flown home if she has the babies in the last 4 days of our holiday as she needs to feed her babies, and even when born the babies can not fly for a few months.

we can not stay that longer hence trying to find her a foster home here, but as anyone who comes to Greece knows there are so many strays and no government bodies to help fund so it is entirely run by volunteers, all of which are full to the brim

to find a foster they need to be paid to keep her to feed her and keep her contained until the babies come… and then there’s the vaccination and passport costs for lady much and however many babies she has… our costs are totally unknown until she gives birth

i can not bare to leave her a second time, especially knowing her babies will probably die here, and maybe her too, but the situation means there is no quick fix

my heart is breaking to not try any and everything to help her.

thank you for reading the rambles of a desperate pet parent.

i have been told there is a way to bring her back via ferry and car if I can find spaces. There are spaces in November if she has had her babies and they are old enough to leave then .

I have CPTSD and BPD and at home I am helped massively with the support of my dogs to ground my emotions, I struggle when away, this is only our second time away and abroad without the dogs and both times she has found me…. I’ve needed her more than she has needed me at times ❤️

please see how lovely she is on my Facebook-
