I never imagined I would be in a position where I’d need to ask for help, but I’m doing everything I can to make sure Kobi gets home safely.

I am currently PCSing back to the United States and trying to bring my 1 year old Labrador home with me. Unfortunately, I’ve run into major challenges with airline kennel size restrictions. While my dog meets all health and travel requirements, the kennel size that would be safest and most appropriate for him (an XXL kennel) cannot be accommodated on the available flights during my PCS window.

The smaller XL kennel that is approved for the aircraft is only marginally larger than my dog, and there is a very real risk that he could be denied boarding by the airline on the day of travel. If that happens, there is no clear backup plan, and I could be separated from my dog overseas with limited options.

After extensive research and speaking with professionals, the safest and most reliable option is to use a certified pet transportation service. This ensures proper kennel sizing, climate-controlled travel, and professional handling throughout the journey. Unfortunately, the cost for this service is $4,800, which is not something I can cover on my own during a PCS.

I’m asking for help to make sure my dog can travel safely and without risk. Any contribution—big or small—means more than I can put into words, and even sharing this fundraiser helps tremendously. Kobi has been my partner in crime for the last year of my time stationed in Korea, I need to bring him home.
