Hello everyone, my name is Kioni Logan and I am here to gather support and help for my cousin Kizzy Collins. On June 6, 2024, Kizzy was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine cancer which had spread to a lot of her major organs causing tumors to form inside her body. On June 16, 2024, Kizzy's daughter Jamiriah Collins found her mother unresponsive on the couch at Kizzy's job were she worked as a caregiver.

Kizzy had suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke ( a ruptured blood vessel which causes bleeding inside the brain). The stroke caused severe damaged which has resulted in Kizzy not being able to walk, talk, sit-up, see in her right eye, nor care for herself at all. She also had a tracheotomy done and we are unsure if it will ever be able to come out. She has a feeding tube and is currently unable to urinate on her own. This is only scratching the surface of all of the problems that she has including her diagnosis for neuroendocrine cancer which has no cure. Kizzy is a 47yr old Memphis native who relocated to Houston, TX about 6yrs ago. Kizzy has always been a kind and loving person, especially to children.

Kizzy has three adult children who are all under the age of 25. The only child that is here in Houston with her is her babygirl Jamiriah Collins. Unfortunately, Kizzy only has one other family member in TX. I have been driving back and forth staying for weeks at a time spending thousands of dollars since this has happened to help care for Kizzy and to try to get her home. Since there is no support for her here in TX, nor housing for her, I have to bring Kizzy home to Memphis, TN. Kizzy's medical insurance will not transfer to TN nor will it cover the cost of medical transportation from Houston, TX, to Memphis, TN. I have contacted several private medical transportation companies and have been given quotes in the ranges of $47,000, $28,500, $27,000, $13,700, and the lowest two I have received thus far have been for $6,300 and $6,000. I am here in Katy, TX now doing everything I can to get my cousin/sister home.

I have depleted all of my funds and need desperate help getting Kizzy home. We don't know how much longer Kizzy has here with us on earth, but we won't her to spend those days at home surrounded by family that loves her and who can help care for her. Kizzy has such a beautiful soul and she deserves to be cared for and loved just like she did for others each day of her life. Please help me to get Kizzy medically transported home with family. She is scheduled for discharge from the rehabilitation hospital here in Katy, TX on Sunday, August 18, 2024; however, I am unsure what will happen if I cannot come up with the money needed to get her transported home.

We have been told by her case manager at the rehabilitation hospital that there is nothing else they can do to help us. Please if there is anything you can do to help, it will be greatly appreciated.
