Money raised will be used to purchase yards signs to support the choice for a safe return to school for all students in the Verona Area School District.
By showing community support for a return to school we hope to convince the school board to vote in favor of this option and force our administration to provide families with the choice they deserve.
VASD families and parents overwhelmingly voted for an in person option, yet our administration and school board have taken away this choice.
Our children deserve the opportunity to learn in a safe classroom environment.
Instead of working to create and present options for a safe return to school our school board and administration are keeping our children from the inside of a school building because of a single metric put forth by Dane County Public Health. Our administration's health advisory committee, hand picked to support this point of view, has refused to consider any other metrics including those that clearly show the mental, physical and emotional damage we are doing to our children in a virtual only learning environment.
Please help us show the community's support for a safe return to school by donating to this fund. All money raised will be used to purchase signs that will be distributed across the community to be displayed.
Everyone that donates a minimum of $10 will get a sign to display in their yard showing their support of this effort. Please indicate if you would like to receive a yard sign and provide your address in the comment section.
