Hello, my name is Katelyn and my son’s name is Khayden. I am reaching out for support during the most painful and difficult time of my life. My son has been alienated from me by his father and paternal grandmother. I am in desperate need of legal help to bring him back home where he belongs. I currently have an open case but it is quite complex and I do need legal representation so I can assure all of my evidence is submitted and presented properly. I have everything I need to bring him home, but if possible, I would like to choose to have a legal representative. But as most of you may know lawyers are quite costly. I have tried all pro bono options I can find and have been denied. I have went through all legal resources, including legal aid, and they have denied my case due to the severity.

As a mother, my only wish is to protect my child and give him the safe, loving, and stable life he deserves. I’ve been managing, but it is very hard to do this by myself. I don’t come from a supportive family or have many other resources besides by full-time job in nursing. I am currently ordered to pay another round of $500 for the GAL in 30 days from now to continue this case and investigation. I would also like to hire legal representation who is quoting me $300 hourly. I believe if I can get a consultation and one to two appearances in court, my son will be home. My settlement hearing is in December, pre-trial is in January, in trial is in February.
