Team Karen

This is our dear friend Karen Leimbach. Here is her story. Karen has several medical conditions which have caused chronic pain and distress over many years. Despite this, we planned a much anticipated trip to see the Phillies in Clearwater, Florida. The first game was everything she imagined! Go Phils! Unfortunately, during the second game she suffered a catastrophic illness. She has been hospitalized for over 4 weeks in Florida. Karen’s respiratory status has prevented her from traveling home, where she longs to return. She has pneumonia, early COPD and was newly diagnosed with interstitial lung disease. She has been in ICU and on high flow oxygen. Her devoted husband, Bill has been unable to leave her side. The impact of her hospitalization has caused significant financial difficulties. Bill is self employed and the primary provider. Our friends, Bill and Karen, are humble, hard working entrepreneurs. After much discussion they were agreeable to a Go Fund Me. They are the the type of people that don’t want to ask for support. The reality is our friends need help. So many people want to help them in this improbable and impossible situation but don’t know what to do. There is a way you can help. Please consider a small donation to our dear friends.
