My name is Rachel Grimes, and I've been involved in the theatre arts community in the Phoenix area since I was young. I absolutely love the valley's theatre community and the artists that work here. I am incredibly excited for our upcoming production- which will bring some of the cutting edge of Broadway to my beloved home. 

Jeremy Kareken wrote "Lifespan of a Fact" - a play that just finished its run on Broadway. This hit starred Daniel Radcliffe, Cherry Jones, and Bobby Cannavale.  Now Jeremy is coming to the valley, to Arizona Actors Academy, to allow this group of talented and passionate artists to premiere his short plays, "Rochester Nights". 

This show kicks off the opening season for Theatre Upstairs, a nonprofit production company dedicated to bringing cutting edge, high quality theatre to the valley. 

We are so excited about this opportunity. Not only will it enrich the students and burgeoning artists at AZAA, it will also provide opportunities for local playwrights and actors to learn from Jeremy through special workshops and open rehearsals.
