Hi everyone,

My name is Jenee, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my best and oldest friend, Susie Salgado, and her daughter, Amelia.

Susie and Julio married in 2021 and have been diligently navigating the complicated legal process for Julio to achieve citizenship. In August 2024, they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Amelia, into the world.

Unfortunately, Julio — who has lived in the United States since he was a toddler and has been working and paying taxes — has been detained since January.

Susie is now facing life as a single parent and carrying the tremendous financial burden of legal fees, immigration costs, and unanticipated childcare expenses, all on a newly single family income.

The purpose of this GoFundMe is to help alleviate some of this financial strain and support efforts to bring Julio back home to his wife and daughter.
