In October 2016, the Young Americans for Liberty at the University of California, Riverside, organized to have Julie Borowski come to campus for the first time, to speak in early February 2017. UC Riverside has over 21,500 students. Many of them are under-informed on some key issues that are essential to their freedom. Our New Year’s resolution is to bring liberty and common sense to a growing liberal public university in southern California.
We are the UC Riverside Young Americans for Liberty, an organized student activist group, whose goal is to identify, educate, train and inspire a younger generation of Americans committed to winning on principle, and to spread the ideas of limited government, free markets, and maximum individual liberty for all. As liberty-minded students at UC Riverside, we are sincerely concerned about losing our freedom of speech, seeing our own politicians in Sacramento restricting our right to bear arms and our campus administrators promoting political correctness to their students. As patriots, we cannot accept this erosion of our precious liberties. To challenge the current anti-liberty trends, we are inviting a speaker who can relate to young people and inspire them to reclaim the direction of the policies that affect our freedom.
Julie Borowski is a rising millennial political commentator from the Washington D.C. area. She graduated from Frostburg University in Frostburg, Maryland. For years, she has been known for her amazing YouTube channel on which she discusses politics, culture, and current events in an informative, creative and entertaining way. Since 2011, her videos have received over 8.5 million views. She was awarded as a “Tea Party Blogger of the Year" at CPAC 2013.
Hosting a speaker like Julie is expensive. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to help cover the costs of lodging, travel, advertising, and an honorarium for Julie Borowski. Any cost overruns will be donated to our chapter, to educate, inspire, and recruit future leaders at the UC Riverside chapter of Young Americans for Liberty. Your donation is an investment which will help young people become excited about liberty and spark a new political revolution. Together we can turn UC Riverside and the rest of southern California into a bastion of freedom and patriotism.
