Hello! My name is Ruby, and my dad was recently lured into a secluded area by Highway Patrol of Nacogdoches, made to appear as though he was trying to flee from law enforcement, and unlawfully detained by ICE.

He has a valid work permit as well as other documents stating that he is allowed to be in the United States.

On same day he was detained, he was transferred and an agent attempted to intimidate him into self-deporting. He refused as there was no lawyer present. After more than a day of waiting anxiously, he was allowed to call us and told us that the facility issued him a court date on August 14. Until then, instead of being allowed to go home, he is sitting in a cell without his medicine and physical therapy.

My brother and I are gathering evidence and we now have hope that was previously dwindling.
